I've been reading Jules Renard's and Joseph Joubert's journals and feeling the same way.

The only worthwhile thing about reading one's own journals is the chance to edit the past.

I need to work on my overdosing on sensual excess. That's some cool imagery right there.

I need to turn my pron-on button.

yes, I meant to type "pron".

Stop! Don't do it! This is the way of adulating Hornblower and unrequited love for Andrew Motion. Disastrous. Better to crease those boots memorizing Home Front ration recipes or Pierre Hardy shoe sizes - these are more relevant to our age.

It's not just animals draped around couture clothing that are consummate quick-wins. It's also animals on a plate. Now we've entered an age of austerity, couture cooking of bits of old ear and offal are being positioned by Waitrose as chic rations. Gothik, mucking-out, scratch-and-sniff is back - or perhaps it never went away.

You should have seen the chest attached to those armpits. They were probably sweating through sheer overexcited joy at their close proximity.

Interesting link. The Udderbelly is probably revolting enough to destroy a city's spirits forever.

Aw crunk, look at you getting all romantic. Except for the wanking. Unless you bought yourself some nice carnations first.

“Which is to make love not war”

~ And to sweat profusely from one’s armpits, to judge by the photo.

Still it seems the Fringe Fest can’t lift the spirits of the city’s residents, or not for long anyway. Edinburgh was just named the most miserable place in all Britain:

Well, in that case I'm glad I spent the weekend wanking. You're goddamn right though; messages used to be drawn out from the complexity of an engaging story, now tiresome plots are tacked on to the message. It isn't a race for the most entrancing tale to poetically weave. It's who can think up the most pretentiously poignant moralilty hammer and work backwards.

Is the idea of a good, old-fashioned, tear your heart out and wear it on your sleeve love story not where it's at with today's discerning public? How has it been reduced to a sub-plot, or to the role of light relief, in most of our prolefeed? Do we find it easier relating to hate than love?

Much luv ur way Blond x x
